A new feature. This is random thoughts from the home page of this website. Enjoy.
- Many times the media gets used by law enforcement and the like to push a story. Sometimes they are unaware of it. If they are aware and still do it, what does that mean? For example, if they use the media to help in finding a missing person or solving a crime, that is good. If they do it to spread false information, that is not good. What if they do both, to solve a crime? Are you OK with that? They print fake news for the greater good. Think about that in this day and age of all the misinformation talk
- Too many TV commercials feature .com companies. I always look up to see if the so-called owner of the company is who they say it is. I saw one recently for Loan Depot. The person said "we created Loan Depot..." However, the person who said that is also featured in a Match.com commercial. She was not one who created Loan Depot.
- Lawyers are not journalists yet many are on TV networks doing news.
- If JLo and A-Rod story turns out to be false, who is to blame? It is still just gossip. There are people plenty wrong information with media all the time. One needs to learn the difference.
- CBS launches a review into an argument on a show that encourages them, "The Talk."
- The book publishing on Fox News is suspect. How are these people writing these books? Are they being ghost-written? They show up on every single show to push it.
- Daily Mail suggests Oprah and crew used doctored footage during the interview with Harry and Meghan. See here. The interview was PR.
- The Today Show had a bracket game for St. Patrick's Day. They did not even have St. Patrick on it.
- Hollywood should have been fighting harder to open movie theaters. Likewise, New York should have fought harder to open Broadway. They made themselves non-essential during the pandemic.
- Everyone is not entitled to their opinions anymore, it seems. Take a look at those being canceled for an opinion. Yes, for an opinion we all are entitled to.
- Reboots of shows are not the same and I do not watch them. We liked the shows with the stars as they were not as they are right now. Or new actors.
- Chris Harrison is NOT returning to a show I do not watch. It is a show that makes people date many people and pick one. OK. The show basically requires contestants to harass the dates.
- The BO in China just pushed "Avatar" past "Avengers: Endgame" as the highest-grossing film of all-time again. They re-released it.
- Nobody really talks about "Avatar" as one would think consider it is No. 1 all-time.
- The pandemic commercials are irritating now.
- I like black licorice.
- Will March Madness still have the same intensity as year's past? Last year it was canceled, so gearing it up again may be tougher than they think.
