...media do not understand them, black, Hispanic and white Americans often cite very different reasons for why they are misunderstood, according to a Pew Research Center survey conducted Feb. 18-March 2, 2021. PEW

- Why the SAG Awards committee decided to air their show on Easter Sunday is beyond me. Unless a show is Easter-themed, families will not go away from their celebrations to watch an award show. A sporting event is different on a holiday, though.
- I rarely pay attention to the overseas box office since I care more about Hollywood making movies for its North American audiences. And the fixation with the China BO is disturbing. But, I am aware that the overseas BO makes up much of what a movies makes, overall. Which means they could be catering their storytelling and visual aspects of movie more to that audience. The superhero movies feel like that for sure.
- My emails and feeds are usually full of TV ratings for special events like March Madness but not this year, for some reason. And event TV ratings are often delayed now. Hmmm. It is likely because of PR. The pandemic should see more people watching since we are HOME more. But, that has not been the case. And award shows have fared the worst. A new theory among myself has emerged as another reason - OVEREXPOSURE. Celebrities and athletes make themselves available 24/7 now and they have more outlets to be seen. That causes us to not care as much about them. We turn against them because we see them too much. We can see them whenever we want and thus, we lose interest. It did happen in the past and we could all tell when it did. When a celeb would go on all talk shows and every special on TV, and then pop up on "The Love Boat."
