I did work in radio as well... * I love the new classic country radio format, but I tune in daily at roughly the same hours. I hear the same songs in rotation. Yes, the same songs from the day before - not not every single one, but a few that are in that particular rotation for the day. This is not the glorious days of Top 40 anymore. How does one pick the rotation? Is it financial, etc.? * There is a huge difference between an oldies station and classic rock. If you like harder rock then classic rock is for you. Easy listening and more Top 40 hits, then it is oldies. * On radio, I have to hand it to my general manager and on air host. He had a morning show and I had the show right after his. He avoided talking about subjects he knew I would do on my show. And which I was hired to do. He did not step on my beat and I did not step on his. * Since I have lived in quite a few places I have noticed that certain music does take over. In Ohio, heavier classic rock is the style. In Illinois, it was more Top 40, corporate rock, if you will. In California, it was all over the place, as if it did not know where to go. That is fine with me, too. * Radio is still free and they should tout that. You plug it in and listen. O'Brien News Service www.obriennewsservice.com/
