I will say this again. News reporters and anchors are too close to a subject and have hate toward the person, they should recuse from covering that person or event.
* Reporting on the Britney Spears story is very sloppy. It is as though people had no idea this was happening to her. And they probably did not. Sad.
* So, those Eargo products are free for some and not for all of us? I do like the commercial but why do federal employees get them for free, I wonder why do the commercial at all.In other words, WE pay for them. Nothing given away by the government free is FREE.
* Come on, Rudy was not disbarred. He was suspended.
* The word "backlash" comes into the news way too much. Everyone who talks seems to face a backlash now, no matter what they are talking about. No one is immune to it, either.
* Is it just me or do many TV news anchors sound snarky these days? As if they are delivering the news and are MAD.
* Stop with the Olympic boycott talk. Or hold a vote of the athletes on the matter.
* Too many stories now have the word "could" in them now.
* The words narrative and agenda - - -ughhhh!!! - - overused and abused.
* "In The Heights" dropped 62 percent in its second weekend and that is brutal. I saw a story that suggested the movie may have legs. Well, they broke. That is not going to happen, and never was. The story was an attempt to salvage the media narrative before the movie came out. They predicted and thought it would be HUGE.
* Never thought I would see the day when Steven Spielberg would sign a deal with a streaming network.
And then this:
A court ruled Rachel Maddow's "... show is different than a typical news segment where anchors inform viewers about the daily news." This actually applies to many on cable news, so when people are outraged about them, they need to remember, they are entertainment and not NEWS, per se. They fall into a different category and thus, are not judged the same as news. But, when news acts the same way, and much of it does now, that is a problem. I do not worry much about the prime time shows that many argue about. And anchors do not like to think they are not news. It is an insult. I was always an entertainment reporter/editor first. When I did news, I had to change my style as the two are different. And I hated covering news. It is boring, and should be. Basic news is boring.
